Joshua Parkhurst graduated from the University of Chicago in 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree. In 1996 he graduated from New York University Law School with a Juris Doctorate. He now works at Cary Kane LLP as an associate.

The industry and institution of law in America has long suffered from an occasional blindness to injustice. This is not to say that the justice system doesn’t work, it does, but that it is the job of civic-minded people and lawyers to bring attention to the downtrodden, the discriminated, etc. There are few lawyers that devote their lives, and careers, to curing injustice—it is certainly the tougher path to go down. Joshua S.C. Parkhurst realizes that fair treatment in the workplace is a crucial component of realizing the American Dream. To this end, Mr. Parkhurst attempts to make the market less discriminatory. When people are free from unlawful discrimination and harassment they are able to compete in a fair market.

Joshua Parkhurst started down his current path when he took an interest in politics. He majored in Public Policy at the University of Chicago, graduating in 1993. He then attended law school at New York University, where he got his J.D. In 1996. He was Legal Theory Editor at the Review of Law and Social Change at that university. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1997. He is now an associate at Cary Kane LLP where he represents individual employees, labor unions, and employee benefit funds.
